	Guidelines for Poster Proposals

Posters provide an easy and informal means for presenting ongoing research to the ECOOP audience. This may be especially useful for new ideas that have not yet been developed to the point of a regular paper. Presentations of applications, experience and teaching are also appropriate, but advertisements will not be accepted as posters. Poster are an excellent medium to get direct feedback from the OO community on new ideas.

Accepted posters will be exhibited in the conference area for the whole 5-day duration of the conference. Times (e.g. at one of the ECOOP receptions) will be arranged during the conference for poster authors to discuss their work directly with interested participants. At least one presenter (co-author) nominated for each poster must attend the conference, preferably also for its whole duration. (It is acceptable that the presenter attends only the technical programme, or only tutorials and workshops.).

Proposals should be submitted, preferably by e-mail, to

The proposal should contain at least the following:

• the title of the poster and the name(s) of the author(s)
• a short abstract to be included in the programme
• a brief description of the presented material

You may also include the complete manuscript of the poster if you wish. The name(s) of the presenter(s) can be communicated later.

Deadlines

No deadline for submitting posters has been set up. We are prepared to handle submissions until rather shortly before the conference. If all reasonable posters cannot be accepted for space reasons, early proposals will be favoured over late ones, and multiple proposals by the same author(s) will not get accepted easily. If submitted in time, accepted posters will be listed in the Posters, Demonstrations and Exhibits Programme, which will be distributed to all ECOOP delegates. The deadline for inclusion in the program will be made public on the ECOOP web pages.
